Windows 11
I had to re-install Windows on my HP 255 g10 laptop. I keep getting "The Media Driver is missing"error so i can't complete the install.. I have tried every possible thing out there but nothing works. I have used Rufus to burn both Win 10 and Win 11. Iso's have been created but will not install. I have used both old USB drives and new USB drives but no luck. I have tried different USB ports but that didn’t matter. HP's cloud recovery tool will not work. Same thing with Microsoft's media creation tool. Works but same error. I went to HP's website to try and find the AMD chipset driver but none exist. Not on AMD's site either. I wiped the drive down to nothing and reformatted and the same result. Made the USB drives first in the boot order, nope, nada, nothing.

Suggestions? Ideas?

Welcome to the Forum stumped77

If you put an iso file on a USB flash drive it won't boot.
Right click on the iso file and select Mount. Open Explorer and go to the virtual ODD. How many partitions does it has?

You have to format the USB flash drive as Fat32 and load it with the installation files extracted from the iso.
If your computer is new, it has a GPT drive so you MUST boot the created USB Win 11 installation drive also as UEFI.

Why don't you let MCT create the default Win 11 USB installation drive?
or
Why don't you let Rufus create the UEFI Win 11 USB installation drive?

"The Media Driver is missing
Where and when and at what point are you seeing this message.
If you have created your installation media correctly, Nowhere in the clean install process does it look for a media driver. It does, however, look for a storage controller driver in order to be able to see your drive during installation. (step 10 of install tutorial)

This is the way to create installation media. Create Windows 11 Bootable USB Installation Media
This is the way to clean install. Clean Install Windows 11
