Kaspersky uninstallation

I am about to uninstall Kaspersky and revert to Defender. Is it ok to remove it using the normal uninstallation method? The reason I ask is because I have seen a free app specifically for uninstalling Kaspersky. Is there something special about the uninstallation? I normally remove software using Revo Uninstaller.

Yes, you can remove it using Revo rather than standard Windows uninstall but you must stop all running Kapersky processes first..

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
Thanks everyone. I used the removal tool and it worked perfectly. I get pessimistic about removal tools as I have had issues in the past. I even get anxious when performing Windows updates as I have had problems with them in the past.

Also may want to manually check the Registry and System folders for any leftover entries.
