mhm...yes and these 3rd party files magically decided to become bad/corrupt or whatever exactly after the update... I stand by what I said, Microsoft DID strike again.

I totally agree. Microsoft is just doing what it is doing & needs to do, it’s up to 3rd party apps to keep up.

I had 24H2 installed for about one day. I rolled back to 23H2. I thought “I’ll just wait to see how people are going with it”

… Months later… Meanwhile, my PC’s are running quite well.

Yeah, I know. Some people don’t have any problems with 24H2.

I just got my dell 7760 and setting things up, it came with 24H2 and so far I haven't seen anything go off by installing some things.

I do wonder why when I checked Windows update, it showed some 25-2 Cumulative update preview KB5052093 I thought if you have the “get the latest updates” turned off you don't get any “preview” type updates.

The Cumulative "Preview" updates are.... optional.
They are just previews of the next month's MS Tuesday Updates.

Usually they come out the last week of the previous month.
KB5052093 was another of those phased roll-outs.

I only saw it in WU, yesterday. But it was initially released on Feb 25th.

Yes that's what I thought, if you want that type I thought you needed to check the box to download the newest updates before the regular ones.

That the preview type don't show up at all if the box is checked. I see no reason to download preview updates unless I wanted to practice with my system. I used to do it on 10, and some on my 23H2 system, but decided since 24H2 is still a work in progress it's better to just stick to the normal updates for a while.

I believe MS releases a lot of "silent" junk between official updates.
IMO, that what the toggle does. When set to ON Win 11 will silently install whatever junk MS throws at it.

Mine is always OFF, and I also block driver updates included in Windows Updates...

I believe MS releases a lot of "silent" junk between official updates.
IMO, that what the toggle does. When set to ON Win 11 will silently install whatever junk MS throws at it.

Mine is always OFF, and I also block driver updates included in Windows Updates...

That would indeed explain the out of the blue bug fixes or new features that would suddenly appear for me lol. I always leave my get the latest update toggle to on for my machines.

I don't think they test the tweener "bug fixes" any more than they do the updates.

MS is using the "throw it all against the wall and see what sticks" method. LOL

Probably not but so far my experiences have been positive pleasant surprises so no complaints from me thus far. Knock on wood lol.

Also the error message here with CMD and DISM with Norton 360, Norton had also a big update to version 25.2.9898.915 but no fix for it.
I use Windows Powershell now this give no error.
