[UPDATE 11/26] We are releasing Builds 26100.7309 and 26200.7309 (KB5070311) today which is a small update that includes some minor changes.

Hello Windows Insiders, today we’re releasing Windows 11 Builds 26100.7296 and 26200.7296 (KB5070311) to Insiders in the Release Preview Channel on Windows 11, version 24H2 (Build 26100) and version 25H2 (Build 26200).

Below is a summary of the new features and improvements included as part of this update separated into two sections: gradual rollout and normal rollout. The bold text within the brackets indicates the item or area of the change we are documenting.

Gradual rollout​

The following features and improvements might not be available to all users because they will roll out gradually. Text bolded in brackets indicate the area of the change being documented. Please note that features and improvements that gradually roll out may not begin rolling out right away nor will they immediately show up right away.

Copilot+ PC only experiences​

  • [Camera] New! As part of the Copilot+ PCs experience, you can use Windows Studio Effects, which provides AI-powered camera enhancements on an additional, alternative camera such as a USB webcam or your laptop’s built-in rear camera. To get started, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Cameras and select your preferred camera from the connected cameras list. Then, open the Advanced camera options and turn on Use Windows Studio Effects. After you turn it on, you can adjust Studio Effects from the camera settings page or the quick settings menu in the taskbar. For more info on the different AI experiences, see ms/copilotpluspcs.

The following fixes were added on 11/26:
  • [Settings] Fixed: Settings may unexpectedly close when navigating to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone, Camera, or Location pages after the latest updates.
  • [Search indexer] Fixed: After the latest updates, File Explorer may no longer perform search on certain SMB shares

I won't be doing that again unless I have to...;) You might want to try the new recovery option under Windows Update/Advanced/Recovery called "Fix problems using Windows Update," as it apparently does the same thing that a repair reinstall does, only it takes a fraction of the time. I used it once when a problem popped up and it worked perfectly.

Wow, that actually worked when my usual method of performing in-place upgrade to refresh Windows 11 didn't for some reason. Thank you very much for the suggestion, I'll have to use that moving forward instead of running Setup from an ISO.

In the registry what are all the items in the following "folder"

ControlSet001\Control\FeatureManagement\Overrides\15

Some of these items are no longer active on my PC and I was wondering if there are conflict in \15 or \14 would it be better to delete 14 and reimport the registry file to enable all the new features?

You cannot change the protected Overrides level (15). Priority is 0-15, with higher numbers indicating higher priority. Higher priority will override lower priority. Fixed CFR IDs have been prioritized by Microsoft as level 15 and forcibly enabled/disabled. You cannot change the priority of protected access if you do not have the corresponding permissions.

Ok, I used the new reg file you posted, and the dark versions of the dialogs in File Explorer have returned, but now the new About Section in the Settings App is missing

Microsoft has simplified the "About" page and removed the previous "About Top Cards" section. If you prefer the previous "About Top Cards" page, you can disable the simplified About page.

  • New! You can view the Device Card on the Settings home page. It shows key specifications and usage details of your PC. From the card, go directly to Settings > About page for more detailed information about your PC. This card will show when signed in with your Microsoft account and in the U.S. only.
The Device Card move to Home page. I have disabled these two CFR IDs because I prefer the previous "About Top Cards" section.

Sounds like they haven't done the second part on the Home Screen for you. Do you use vivetool? I can give you the vivetool codes to enable it:

New about settings page: vivetool /enable /id:59265307
