[UPDATE 11/26] We are releasing Builds 26100.7309 and 26200.7309 (KB5070311) today which is a small update that includes some minor changes.

Hello Windows Insiders, today we’re releasing Windows 11 Builds 26100.7296 and 26200.7296 (KB5070311) to Insiders in the Release Preview Channel on Windows 11, version 24H2 (Build 26100) and version 25H2 (Build 26200).

Below is a summary of the new features and improvements included as part of this update separated into two sections: gradual rollout and normal rollout. The bold text within the brackets indicates the item or area of the change we are documenting.

Gradual rollout​

The following features and improvements might not be available to all users because they will roll out gradually. Text bolded in brackets indicate the area of the change being documented. Please note that features and improvements that gradually roll out may not begin rolling out right away nor will they immediately show up right away.

Copilot+ PC only experiences​

  • [Camera] New! As part of the Copilot+ PCs experience, you can use Windows Studio Effects, which provides AI-powered camera enhancements on an additional, alternative camera such as a USB webcam or your laptop’s built-in rear camera. To get started, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Cameras and select your preferred camera from the connected cameras list. Then, open the Advanced camera options and turn on Use Windows Studio Effects.   • [Security] Fixed: This update addresses an issue that affects Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS). LSASS could become unstable due to an access violation.
The following fixes were added on 11/26:
  • [Settings] Fixed: Settings may unexpectedly close when navigating to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone, Camera, or Location pages after the latest updates.
  • [Search indexer] Fixed: After the latest updates, File Explorer may no longer perform search on certain SMB shares
  • [Notifications] Fixed: After the latest updates, explorer.exe may hang (leading to the taskbar becoming unresponsive) after certain notifications.

New issue, Start Menu randomly stops working after a PC has been in sleep for a few hours, odd the search option still works. This is for mouse click only. Pressing the Windows key still opens the Start Menu

It appears all the items in control panel are being migrated to settings. Once that is done, the control panel will be removed - they won't bother to update it.

Hasn't this been the plan since Windows 8, and most settings still are in Control Panel. The Settings App is full of links to the Control Panel Apps. You would think assign a dedicated team to the task, and get it done, but taking this long. Same applies to the dark theme, so many included apps in Windows do not support this.

Excluding phone and modem and Internet options, which are obsolete, and device manager, I see 31 Control Panel settings. Of those 26 are migrated/implemented in settings. The ones that are not are:

Credential Manager
Mail (outlook) Doesn't belong there?
Backup and Restore (Windows 7) Obsolete?
Security and Maintenance
Windows Tools Does this belong there?

They have already done a massive amount of work. Not much left IMO

I am having the same issue with Quick Settings with click. It works sometimes. Always works with Win + A. SAB up to date. Ran DISM/SFC scans and no issues reported. Never had this issue before this update.
