Hi to everyone.
I saw in some other threads that these updates caused problems of some kind.
Mine is that when I try to install KB5070762 or KB5070773 and system reboots to apply the update I receive a "boot_device_inaccessible (error 0x7b)". Then I force system reboot pushing power button twice and system repair rolls back automaticallu my Windows 11 to 26200.6584 version and everything run fine.
I ran sfc /scannow, dism with restorehealth with no luck. I also tried to use "resolve problem with Windows updates" but the result is alway the "boot_device_inaccessible". I updates all my drivers, I don't use secure boot. I tried to reset windows update (stopping services and deleting SoftwareDistribution folder), tried to download file update from Microsoft catalogue but the result is still the same. I also tried to upgrade my system with an ISO containing the KB5070773 update (made with UUP dump) but the result is the same: on the first reboot Windows seems not to find boot drive and I received the error on the object.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot,
Michele.

I'd already tried but I did it again: same result.
I tried to do a clean boot, no luck.
I really don't know what else to try.

Ok, I will use log collector as soon as I can. Obviously I will run it when system is on, in other words after the stop_error (boot_drive_inaccessible) and when system restore has completed its job, ok? Or is there any other way to generate it?
Besides: what do you mean when you write "post a share link into the newest post"?
Thanks a lot,
Michele.

One thing to try first. Boot a Windows install disk / WinPE system and get into command mode (from a Windows install device choose repair system etc) and then use bcdboot to re-install the boot loader. (Check the partition letters via diskpart and assign if necessary).

E.G if the EFI partition is S and the installed Windows partition is C

bcdboot c:\windows /s S: /f UEFI

Whenever you can boot the computer to one of these then run V2 > post a share link

Normal boot
Clean boot
Selective boot
Safe mode

Perform a hard reboot > report findings

Perform a startup repair > search for > LogFiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt > post a share link

Find a flash drive that you can format and a working Windows computer.

Create a bootable Windows 11 Media Creation Tool (MCT) (Windows iso)

Hi and thanks for your reply.
Please correct me if I'm wrong: Windows boots up with no problem after system has been automatically restored by windows system restore so, why should I re-install the boot loader? Evidently something goes wrong when KB5070773 is installed but my Windows installation is fine.

I and thanks for reply.
Please help me understand: I should generate a report with V2.Log.Collector with normal and clean and selective and safe boot? Each of them?
I mean, Windows boots up without any problem because automatic system restore brings Windows to a functioning state. System restore automatically cancel any modifcation made by KB5070773 and my Windows 26200.5684 starts up fine.

If you can boot normal then that is the optimal time to run V2.
If it can't boot normal then try clean boot.
If it can't clean boot then try safe mode.

Here is the report: Dropbox
I also tried to install KB5067076 (26200.7019) and the result is always the same: boot_drive_inaccessible. I won't be able to install updates any longer???
Hope to hear good news from you.

Thanks.
