Laptop WiFi doesn't automatically connect on startup

It shows not connected on startup, even though it could clearly detect all the networks correctly. 1650404604725.png

Have also ticked 'connect automatically' but it doesn't.

On manual connection at the first try, it does not work. I have to turn off and on WiFi connection for it to auto connect to my network.

Have reinstalled the drivers using Dell auto update. It's a killer 1535 NIC.

What else can I do?

Forget the connection, then reconnect to it and check the automatically connect box.

Had this happen more than once after updates on Windows 10 with WiFi as well.

This may not solve it, but it's worth a shot and easy to try.

yes already tried forgetting & reconnecting. problem still persists. got to manually connect every startup.

I have the same issue on my daughter's PC that I just recently upgraded to W11. Didn't have that issue before the upgrade. I did upgrade to the latest intel wifi driver. Same issue. Just waiting for the next big update. I know it won't get fixed by me whining about it. It is not that bad. I just need to manually reconnect.

I'd look at the
Power options - is sleep turning it off
Device driver settings -- Allow the computer to Turn off --- uncheck it

certainly wont hurt turning OFF Hotspot/Flight mode options

There was some issues with these branded NICs on early Windows 11. They did not work at all. It is possible the issue is not yet completely fixed.

Disable the Killer software. I have a Killer AX1650 on my mobo, and I refuse to let Killer do *anything* as far as 'managing' my network (it also has Killer E2600 and E3000 Ethernet ports).

I've disabled every killer service and prevented the mgmt software from running.

After you do all that, do one more forget and re-connect and see if Windows will start managing it correctly.

I apologize, I completely skipped over the the fact that it was a Killer, else I would have suggested all this in my last post.
