The stuff they told me to give her to clear the blockage has no time for how long I should give it to her. The nurse just said when things get runny time to stop, that's not something I'm looking forward to. She gets 30ml in the morn, afternoon & eve.

I.ve decided if this is still a problem down the road, next time we're probably going to a different hospital, although that's 1 1/2 hrs away.

That sounds as a good plan... to go to another hospital next time and see if they is "smarter"
Yeah i have a feeling that kind of medicine dont have a fixed number of days/times.. its one of those use it until its not needed. Those can be hard to follow when you dont have a fixed time-frame to go after. :think:

Yeah, the nurse basically said use until not needed. Well, she has blockage, she had that when she had the runs, how am I going to know when/if the blockage is finally all out. A few more instructions on using this would have been nice or telling me what to look for.

sometimes the doc and nurses act as they think we patients have the same education on medicines as they do, so they dont describe things from A to Z but just mention A and expect that we already knows B to Z.
So yeah i agree, it would be nice if they actually tells the whole procedure/story. :rolleyes:
Then its the other times, when weeee seems to know more then they do. :cautious:

Well Mondays going to be busy, I'm hoping I can get a follow up appt with her primary doc on the same day as she see's wound care (Tues), although I think the chances are slim being it's only a 1 day to ask for it.

They always want you to do that every time you get discharged from the hosp, have a follow up with your doc. She has a tele visit coming up about the middle of next month so if that falls though I guess we can wait for that visit.

I get to see the specialist Tues in the morn to see what he wants to do about my high iron. I hope it's the pills he'll give me & not bleed me out every week. (fingers crossed)

Oh yeah, checked the list on my multi vits, no iron in them, Read online that multi vits for older men (I take the over 50 ones) usually don't have iron because they're at low risk of having an iron deficiency.

Well, hopefully things will straighten out. I'm worried about her ankle getting better by Tues, her leg gave out this morn while transferring her & it twisted the ankle on her good leg.
