So I finally managed to make it here. BIOS update on this MAG took a significantly long time for a PC using 128GB of RAM, but I did it. Latest update was just this September. Playing on a PC this new sure reminds me that I'm just an old geezer and I feel pretty clueless. Everything seems so AI oriented.

Yes, I have my coffee. (Gotta have java when you start upgrading a PC.) :coffee::coffee: I'm on my second cup now.
I'm logged in on this AMD abomination and I gotta admit it's pretty zippy.
I haven't felt this inexperienced in a long time.
Afternoon Scannerman. Congratulations.... 🎉

*edit* Anyone know why they call it MAG??
I asked Google....

UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to lid hinges starting to break up this laptop has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

I've now clean installed 25H2 and used Garlin's scripts to update Secure Boot to CA 2023 and revoke the PCA 2011 certificates. It's new role is to test secure boot issues.

    Info for 2021-2026:
fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

Thanks, Bree. (I still hate AI.)

MSI talking a whole lot of hype here. I had a heckuvva time trying to find this system board on their site because I thought it was a gaming board. That's not exactly how it is classified on their web site. You will not find this board with the gaming boards but you will find it with their work station boards. So how that satisfies the definition of "MSI Arsenal Gaming" beats me. (But it does explain a few conversations I've had in the past with folks who wanted to know the difference between a gaming system and a work station.) I guess these days it isn't so 'cut and dry'.

For myself, it wouldn't be my choice of board. Daughter seems quite pleased with it though. I have the suite and the chip set installed now (half of it is AI) and it looks as though I'm going to have to change out the fans manually if she wants them to glow red instead of blue. I am compelled however to say that it has the fastest CPU in the house as it can easily peak out @ 4.7 GHz without any tweaking and the only other thing in the house that runs DDR5 RAM is my little OTVOC laptop. Anyway, enough for today. Time to chill.
