It may have been just in the UK English version of Firefox, but about:config used to show that warning. Always made me laugh....

When running about:config I get a message warning me about voiding a warranty, how do I get this to go back to telling me "here be dragons"? | Firefox Support Forum | Mozilla Support

oh, that one.. I think i have run in to something similar way back.
also about:robots was fun in the past, as you could click and make the robot really annoyed.

Edit: You that like to play around with install 11 on unsupported hardware.. Is win11 still installable as MBR?

You dont need to, i was just a tiny bit curious when i saw a thread mention MBR failed or something

I dont plan on installing any kind of OS before 2027.... if i can avoid it.

Edit:
I think it was 2025 i said to you, that i should install windows LTSC, and as it often takes two years from idea to finish line.. then its 2027 i have to install LTSC on my old 4gen laptop that i have win8.1 on now.

This was a useful exercise after all, it turns out there is an issue. My first attempt failed with "Installation failed" after the install and all the reboots. But it's not what you think, it's not rejecting the MBR disk as unsuitable.

With 24H2 MS reworked Setup.exe to give it a new modern look. This introduced an obscure bug which made the install fail if the target drive was a native boot .vhdx. Well, you can now add MBR disks to that list.

My second attempt succeeded, simply by switching to the previous version of Setup, a fix I had already discovered for a .vhdx install.

The usual workarounds will be needed of course, an MBR disk implies a Legacy BIOS, no TPM, etc... I have the commands from Option Three of @Brink's tutorial Bypass Windows 11 System Requirements on Unsupported PC in a .bat file on my install USB. Shift+F10 to get a command prompt after booting the install USB then run the .bat before starting the clean install.

I chose my System One from Ten Forums for the test, a 2011 Toshiba Satellite L750 with Legacy BIOS and no TPM. It's so old that it still had a hatch for easy access to the HDD, so I dropped in a spare SSD for the test.

But nice to know, if i see someone wondering about it.. then i know.

I will stick to the plan on 2024LTSC on one machine.. Just in case i run in to a windows-only software that wont run on old windows. (7/8.1) I need to have a backup plan so to speak.
