You guys living in the south ( USA ) talk about snakes, how about those gators. One killed someone is S.C. just last week. Their jaws can leave a lasting mark.

Good morning, Ken. I stay away from bodies of water because of the alligators. They're bigger than me, and I have a healthy respect for that.

Show them respect, and typically there is nothing to worry about. Males can become aggressing during mating season, but no biggie really.

I've encountered countless numbers of them, while fishing/swimming, but never had an issue.

Not any more, I think health and safety had an issue with it. It is now in wrapped in white paper on top of greaseproof bag. Some places have a printed paper instead of white to look like the old traditional newspaper .... Those were the days

I have never seen one, except in a wildlife park at a great distance, but like most wildlife do not disturb it
