Being a type 2 diabetic it's best if I take regular meals so I don't get large fluctuations in glucose levels.

My problem with the '5 a day' guidance is that I'd have to eat about twice as much as I normally do in order to meet it.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

    I've now clean installed 25H2 and used Garlin's scripts to update Secure Boot to CA 2023 and revoke the PCA 2011 certificates. It's new role is to test secure boot issues.

Yes, I'd forgotten about that, take good care of yourself Keith.

The only dietary advice I'm getting with my treatment is that it may make me feel like eating more than is good for me - and not to give in to it :wink:

Fortunately it's well under control with diet and a couple of metformin tabs a day. :-)

That is what we do, Jane like to stay up until about 1am watching her junk on the tv and I am up early in the morning for fox feeding and dog walking etc so I can monitor it warming up to suit

Got me at it as well, Liver and chips tonight Jane decided. I try not to eat until 5pm because of this ulcerative stomach and bowl thing, but chocolate hob nobs are my downfall. I can't do five a day as that would just set it all off but I try to eat as healthily as I can

I only take one a day I think my diet is keeping my sugar levels under control I stay away from most starches.

I was diagnosed just after my 70th birthday, so coming up on 8 years. I'm used to it now so I don't have to think about it just comes automatically.

I have steeled myself to avoid ever buying chocolate hob nobs, especialy the plain chocolate ones that are my favourites. They just taste so good that if I open a packet and have one, then I rarely stop before finishing them all! :eek1:

I prefer McVities chocolate digestives - I can stop myself after only the first 3 .....or 4 ....or 5 :ROFLMAO:

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

    I've now clean installed 25H2 and used Garlin's scripts to update Secure Boot to CA 2023 and revoke the PCA 2011 certificates. It's new role is to test secure boot issues.
