Thanks Charlie. Went that route, they are calling it a Nuisance By-Law. Does not qualify under current noise. Has to be loud enough to wake up the dead to be a Noise compliant. The bylaws here are a mess. You are not allow to discharge pool water into storm drains but building permit does nor require you to connect to sanitary. So you dump on your lawn and it flows onto road, all is good. You can drive down one road and you can see the discharge pipes hanging over ditch. If no one complains the by-law folks can't do anything. How silly is that?

We had three classes of licenses novice code-only bands 5 wpm, technician high bands only voice no code, and general all bands and voice 15 wpm.

Ken, if I may, are you referring to noise from a central unit/HVAC pump?

If so, there are a couple options to help mitigate that. A compressor blanket, and/or a soft start kit wired to the compressor.


Perhaps I'm way off base, sorry. I wish you luck. ;)

I understand Charlie, we have a novice class and the normal licence, I don't know if there are any other classes, it used to be Just A and B then they introduced the novice class and now I think they have combined the A and B into one. but I am not that sure
