They are still doing conduit installs, pedestals installs, conduit to conduit connections and finally fibre pulling. They haven't even dug all the holes for individual homes. The number of connections are staggering and with all the rain it is miserable work. To connect that drop that I showed a picture of they actually lie on the wet ground. Conduit to conduit requires them to connect fifteen individual connections.
In the rain like this they vacuum the water out of the hole and within minutes it is filling back in. Water can't be allowed to get into individual conduits so work must be slow.
I'll bet they are a month away.
My current ISP agreed to re-instate my discounts so I'm cool. Of course this might change if they give me an unbelievable price with some price guarantees.
