Indeed. Same with Edge at the moment as well.
Looks like something 'big' is afoot with Chrome and Edge. Probably something else to do with AI. I don't use Chrome and rarely use Edge but it looks like I'm going to have to go through and check all the Settings in Edge after the next "Stable" release and find out what's been added (and turned on by default of course) and then turn it all off.
Been there, done that. Quite a few times over the past few years actually.
