The Edge update service always is in manual mode (I disabled them in Task Scheduler and had no problem, yet). I don't have a restart option there (restart the service is disabled):

By pressing the "Start" (service) I get this error:

Options 3-5 would burn my Edge. I am sure! :woozy:

This might be surprising but Microsoft Edge (Stable) oddly turned into Beta two weeks ago on my end. Has anyone ever encountered this?

Hello. I haven’t experienced this personally, but I’ve heard this can be to do with Update centre in armoury crate, if you use that? Although, looking at your specs I don’t see why you would have it. Perhaps your computer has its own built in update software.

even the "standard" Edge 114.0.1823.55 downloads are not currently available on MS Catalog; only the "webview2 runtime" downloads are there; weird

edit; seems like 114.0.1823.55 was temporarily "withdrawn" - good thing I did NOT update to it and kept v114.0.1823.51 - will wait for a newer update and will skip the .55 build

I updated to this version right when it came out and am not going back to a Macrium backup made before installing this version as I had installed many updates after this.
