I wished the updates worked more like Google Chrome where if you exit and start, it will always update and install the latest version. EDGE seems to require checking manually.

I wished Microsoft would allow keeping the cookies and other things between different channels of EDGE as they didn't have a problem when going from the original EDGE that came with Windows 10 originally to the Chromium based EDGE and kept every tab including the cookies.

Anyone having this issue!. I am on Edge stable version 92.0.902.67 and when I check for updates in the browser (Ellipsis the ... dots > help and feedback > About Microsoft Edge, it will stay stuck on the spinning wheel forever. I have tried to Repair Edge in Settings (Win + I) > Apps > Apps & Features > Microsoft Edge > Advanced option or Modify > Repair, but to no avail.

I was waiting for this one (Stable) to see if it will fix my issue raised in post # 53. What's weird, it doesn't affect Edge in my Hyper-V VM (works fine there). Thx mate. :)

I was able to upgrade to the latest version 92.0.902.73 by going to Settings (Win + I) > Apps > Apps & features > Microsoft Edge > Repair, but the issue with the spinning wheel in the browser itself won't let go. I know that Edge cannot be uninstalled, but I have to find a way to get out of this quagmire.

Sorry, everything seems to be fine now. While I was writing this post, I noticed there was a security shield-like prompt in the Taskbar. I just clicked on it to give the OK (by clicking on "Yes") and the spinning has stopped. Thank goodness!.

BTW, it was doing the same thing before the upgrade, but clicking on the security prompt back then didn't make it stop the spinning wheel in the browser.

Happy camper now! :)
