Yup, that is why I'm holding back for the moment. I'm interested in one card in particular, everyone says it's good... but, I don't know how reliable the chip is since it's not the usual well-known brands. I've heard and read a few people claiming that those adapters don't last long. Don't know if this is true or not.

No, Marvel is the company that made Iron Man. Marvell is an American chipmaker in Santa Clara, California. AFAIK they only make the network chips that some of network cards are based on, not the actual cards themselves. But TP-Link is definitely a usual well-known brand like Netgear or D-Link, for example.

Yes, sorry for the typo. Marvell network chips are reliable, once you install the driver they work as expected. I haven't seen any issues. Also TP-Link is well known brand. No worries here.

I intended it to be that way, the specs are for the card not the chip.

Anyhow, will give the card a try eventually. I know someone who can get me the card on trial so I can use it for about a month and then decide if I want to purchase it.
