4.5.4 is now a stable release

I upgraded to MBAM 4.5.4.168 yesterday. The upgrade went OK but I noticed that upon booting this morning, MBAM did not automatically start. Checked Settings->Security and "Windows Startup" was toggled off. I posted a message to the Malwarebytes forum to see if this is by design. Prior to the update MBAM was automatically starting with Windows.

The beta version 4.5.4 starts OK with Windows, which is also at present 4.5.4.168

Did you upgrade via the program or download it? not that it should make any difference

I updated via the program. After the update, it requested a reboot. I rebooted but this was rather late last night and I didn't check to see if MBAM was running. My nightly backup runs after midnight and then shuts down the PC; I noticed it this morning when I restarted. In any case, I set the toggle back to 'start with Windows'.

Thats a strange one as it normally keeps all settings, at least you are ok now, just check it doesn't turn itself off again

Updated to 4.5.4.168 via the program just now. Did not re-boot during upgrade & re-started OK following restart.

270 is the installer version NOT the program version.
Majorgeeks and others confuse users with these announcements all the time.

Start page of this release is confused.

Protected? Yes? No? huh?

latest 4.5.5 out today seems to be a bit confused! 😁 How can I be protected and not and do a great job but be careful? 🤣 Maybe just late in the day and my eyes are tired.
