Almost as soon as I got 4.5.27.262 1.0.68289 1.0.1991, I got bumped up to Update Package Version 1.0.68295, so we're getting a spate of signature file updates, I guess.

Clean Installed my Windows 11 Pro 64bit install yesterday, and reinstalled Malwarebytes Premium and some reason it seems stuck on 4.5.24.248, Component Package Version 1.0.1952

Clean install was to fix another issue with the Computer, had nothing to do with Malwarebytes itself

Can you please try this:

1. Download the offline installer from : https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb4_offline

2. Run the installer

It was not an issue with your computer. The installation was locked at that version on purpose. They are working on some notification issues in the software.

Ok if people want to use this stuff - but for home (not corporate or even SME's) is this type of software really necessary any more whether paid for or not.

Windows security from being a laughing contradiction in terms has developed into one of the best if not the best in the industry today. WD is based on Ms's Azure cloud service security which has got even US military level clearance so I think I'd rather trust the US military and the USA's NSA than a bunch of people using stuff based originally from Russia and China even if in the early 2000's the software was fine and did its job.

If it gives you piece of mind then use it but there's no technical reason any more why this type of software on domestic computers brings anything to the table any more.
