Lenovo Yoga 7: Trying to turn Windows 11 Copilot completely off but Local Group Policy Editor won't launch

The title says most of of it. One of the solutions involves launching the Local Group Policy Editor with gpedit.msc command.

How do it disable it ? I'm not always good with coding. But this thing it interferes with me when i bump into the Copilot button and i'm not sure about learning about windows power tools functions yet to rewire it the button.

I just need it killed so the button doesn't awaken the microsoft copilot.

Do you have the Home edition of 11? If so no group policy editor.

@Rollback_Jockey has faster fingers than I.
Windows 11 Home does not offer the Group Policy Editor on Pro.

i indeed only have the home edition

So far i'm using the registryeditor commands that turns it off and the stops a silent installer called HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ContentDeliveryManager

about halfway down the page is the download for gpeditor enabler
right click and run the download in an Admin PowerShell.

Here is what i did from how to geek.

So far i'm using the registry editor commands that turns it off and the one stops a silent installer called HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ContentDeliveryManager

I'm not sure about github scripts.

We'll create a new key here called "WindowsCopilot." Right-click on the Windows folder, select "New" and click "Key." Give it the name "WindowsCopilot." If this key already exists, you can skip this step.

Microsoft has yet another tactic for installing Copilot without permission. You need to disable "silent installs" to prevent that. Navigate to this directory or copy-paste it in the address bar.

Look for a value labeled "SilentInstalledAppsEnabled" and right-click on it. Select "Modify" and change the hexadecimal value to "0."

It just launches a search menu for recent programs. If i could download a safe script to reroute it into a control button instead. And turn the prt screen into a classic version instead of free forming then this computer would be great.

The way i use this now is the full screen mode of print screen. I just dislike extra steps *sighs*

I removed it since it feels like bloatware.

For the things earlier on the other hand
I was using the howtogeek the link from Spunk earlier for the solutions with CoPilot Microsoft keeps reinstalling Copilot, so I found a way to rip it out of Windows for good

Here is another example: In Pokemon Go on my former good phone which was Samsung A16 never used prompt from facebook often for logging in. It would just remember it. Unless you fully logged it which it rarely did as in deleting the login.

But when i had to downgrade to my older Samsung Galaxy S23 because of a dead camera module, pokemon go always requires pushing a extra button prompt from facebook to login. Every damn time, it never does that often on A16 unless it was a public wi-fi earlier.

That was a example description. Copilot button is now just another start menu key and fn + copilot button do provide a right click options. But if i could still turn this junk freestyle function print screen into a standard so it doesn't darken my screen i'm trying to use the backspace button.

Fn + Prt Screen does work correctly like the classic. But the freeform mode and suggestions that shows up on a darkened screen if didn't use in and other suggestions is a major hassle. Then i would be done with most of the junk design in this laptop.

But it is like a breeze when i do things right.

Still no luck. Google is still a bit too much of a wildcard search for this. I bump into that bad version of prt scrn button way way too much.
