That's for sure, what I'd been thinking since I first started reading this thread. I can't imagine a situation where one needs six of these connected to a pc, there must be a better way of doing what he wants to do.

Hello again friends,
Thanks for waiting on me.

I have acquired 2A to 4A USB power supply and tested it with all 6 HL BP55EB40s one by one, I have change ports also but no avail.
Too bad!!! As I have had a hope for this to work.

I have one last possibility.
And that is to test these 6 devices one by one and altogether on Windows 10.
I need to wait for weigh until 20. July 2023. Then I will purchase VMware License and test these on VMware installed Windows 10 and maybe Windows 7 versions too.
I thank you all for your contribute and great advises!!! :-)

There are no alternatives left.

Yes Both of laptops are Windows 11 home edition compatible, and have Windows 11 installed right now.
However MSI Raider GE66 10SFS is 2 a little more than 2 years old and had Windows 10 as originally OS installed.
Then came Windows 11 home and I clean installed Windows 11 Home version.

This seems to be a problem with recent versions of Windows 10 and 11, I think it is the plug and play system maybe plus something to do with security.

Try unplugging and replugging the USB 3 (type A) connectors, and rescanning for Devices in the Device Manager.

That worked on my old Laptop Windows 10 with USB 3 (type A).
Exactly the same scenario with a new Windows 11 Laptop with USB 3 (type A and C) and Thunderbolt 4 (type C).

It's an ASUS SBW-06D5H-U USB Blu-Ray writer USB A/C connections. 10 Months ago no problem drive was recognised, but about 2 weeks ago tried the drive again it was not initially recognised until re-plugging in a couple times.

Been good on both Laptops now, presumably they have remembered something.

I'll throw out another couple ideas.

First, these kinds of problems are often caused by a bad cable. Have you tried using a different/new Y cable?

Try disabling USB Selective Suspend:
Search for Control Panel > Power Options > One the Power Plan that you are currently using selct "Edit Power Plan" > select "Change advanced Power Settings" near the bottom > Expand the USB section > expand USB SElective Suspend section > choose disable > test.

Do you know anyone with a Windows 10 PC? You could try a quick test on their PC.
Same with someone else with a Windows 11 PC. Try it on a different machine.
