LM Studio not loading models

Hi, not sure if anyone can help, but I have been trying to load LM Studio, and when I click get started, the screen then changes to "Your first model" Below this is a rotating cursor with the wording. "Updating LLM catalog..." but then nothing happens.

I have let this run for well over an hour, and still nothing. So my next option was to choose Skip in the top right-hand corner, which takes me to the "Advanced Settings"

Turn on Developer Mode
Access advanced settings and developer focused features. (Radion button Off)
Start local LLM service on login
Automatically start the local model server when you log in. (Radio button ON)

Continue to LM Studio (Button)

When I try to run a chat, I get "No LLMs yet! Download one to get started!" Pick a model (Ctrl+L) gives me no options to choose from.

When I try to download manually from the LM Studio web page, the cursor just goes around and around, despite it connecting to my system LM Studio

What am I doing wrong?
