Lock Screen Spotlight images are not refreshing daily. I have to manually force them using some of the instructions in the Lifewire article here: How to Fix It When Windows Spotlight Is Not Working on Windows 10 (lifewire.com).
I disable Lock screen Spotlight in the Personalization page by choosing "Picture", reboot, then run the set of DOS commands (fixing the forward slash errors, of course) and then the PowerShell command. Reboot, turn Lock Screen Spotlight back on, then reboot again before the images reappear. I usually have to repeat this procedure twice before I see a favorable result.
Why isn't this happening automatically? Does Windows 11 have a different refresh rate than Windows 10; i.e., a weekly refresh rate or some other frequency instead of daily? Is there some kind of registry entry I can modify (or add)? I'm not a programmer but "I know enough to be dangerous," as the old saying goes.
