Guess this is more a curiosity question since I don't see a solution anywhere for this. Are you guys able to display the detailed weather on your lock screens? I have it selected for both my PC's in the lock screen status setting but it doesn't display on either PC. I have Always Detect My Location selected in the weather app. Had the same problem in late versions of Windows 10 also but it use to work fine in older versions of Win 10.

Not sure quite what you mean, but I think it works better on Windows 10 on the taskbar, where you can just right click on the task bar and have it display text as well as the icon.

Hazel, there is a setting under personalization/lock screen/lock screen status to choose an app to show detailed status on the lock screen. I like to show the weather but it doesn't work.

The same setting is in Windows 10 - but I've never seen it work on any of my W10 machines either....

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

Odd they kept the feature for Win 11 but it still doesn't seem to work for most people. Maybe a future update but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

I've even tried switching weather apps and neither works while weather info displays just fine in outlook 365 and ms weather so IDK.

I'm having the same issue with one small difference. Weather was displaying on the lock screen until I attempted to change it from Washington, D.C. to my location. Now it's not displaying at all no matter what location I choose. This is totally not a surprise as this didn't ever work in Windows 10 for me either.

Thios never worked in the latest versions of Windows 10, no matter how many reports were filed in Feedback Hub this was never fixed. When I updated to Windows 11, it worked the first time i logged on and never gain. Odd how many functions just don't work, and never get fixed. Just like the icon refresh of the operating system, and if you just open a few dialogs, you still see the Windows 2000 icons, and dialogs. Windows is really a mess.
