Locked out of Microsoft outlook account

Ok this is driving me mad its been 2 days now and i not able to log into my Outlook email account.
What happened is my laptop was in the middle of some Microsoft update and it locked up forcing me to switch it off and lost everything i have managed to get windows working again but every thing works again except my outlook account it did work and i set a pin number that i have now forgotten i have tried several times to gain access including asking for a reset code and Microsoft sends a code to my phone but then it says wrong code and after a few try's it says to many code used come back tomorrow or it says its sent a code to my outlook email address the one i am not able to access. i am just going round in circles is there any other way of gaining access please

Hi thanks for the info i have tried the links you sent but when i change my pin number i then got a dialog box saying because you are accessing sensitive information we has sent a reset code to my email account the one i am not able to access what good is that

If you wanted to try, you could log into your Microsoft Account Online and when it asks for your email, select “Can’t access your account” and follow the prompts. It is an option.

I think you can reset PIN from built-in Administrator account.
