I have disabled the lock screen (standard procedure via Group Policy Editor) so that at bootup I get directly to the login screen to input the PIN/Password for my account. This screen uses some sort of highly blurred image as a background - looks like some sort of mountain scene. Niggly little detail, but does anyone know how to change this to some sort of solid color? TIA.

It'll be the default Windows lockscreen wallpaper. To get rid just re-enable lockscreen, set a solid colour as your lockscreen and then disable in gpedit again.

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October.

Why offer a simple solution when there's a more complicated one that does the same :D
