Looking for a app or a way in Win 11 to rename a batch of files

Windows 11 Pro version 25H2 build 26200.7840
I've been searching for the last 3 hours for a way to rename a folder full of files. The current names are img112.pdf through img214.pdf and I want to change all the names starting with 1.pdf through 214.pdf

Nothing I found showed examples like I need, I would perfer not using someone code or batch files. Hopefully there is a app or program that is free and will do what I need.

any and all replied are appreciated.

I sometimes use the powerrename from powertoys to mass rename files. I don't know if the powertoys will work for you.

I just tested this. XnView (mainly an image viewer/editor), can batch rename anything.
I just uploaded my copy to my Dropbox. Here is the link...

Just go to... Edit > Select All
And then to... Tools > Batch Rename

It has a simple interface as well...

just highlight them all and press F2. whatever the first one gets named, they will append (1), (2) and so one

example:

name it 1.pdf, the rest will become 1 (1).pdf, 1 (2).pdf and so on
