okay.. i have to look again.. :-)

It is kind of fun to not know.. as i always sit on the answers myself.. But this is out side my current field as I'm in to hardware, networking, infrastructure.. and a few years ago started the journey on cyber security, and hybrid cloud managment.
But this is way forgotten stuff as i have not programmed html code or old good MS-DOS basic since the 90's.. and just cheated with Kompozer on the 00's *LOL* :D
So in a way its darn frustrating not know the answer within 5minutes.. but at the same time fun as that remind me i have limits and we never get full learned in IT :-) :-) :-)

I had some pretty rough health issues, my memory and comprehension were deeply affected. After using Adobe products for 20 years (I think) I am having to relearn Photoshop. The same with web design, I don’t even bother now. Much has changed since my coding days, and my successful business from many years ago “Antspants Graphics” died and has never returned, so I diversified. If friends or Not-For-Profit needs my help, it’s drag and drop all the way. I still host websites for Not-For-Profit and create digital graphics for them for free, but that’s my client base, no $$$ and I am happy to do it. Anything else is too complicated for my comprehension and I get extremely frustrated.

Health issues sucks.. i got hypothyroidism so I'm really low on physical energy to be on ten places at ones, so I'm on sick leave since 8years back.. So I'm not in the loop any longer on the latest and greatest.. So i have used the time to study for cyber security etc.
So in one way i can relate, but on the memory part i can only imagine it has to be very hard on you.
I stopped doing things for free years ago as i got sick of people trying to take advantage of my kindness... so if they want my help, then they have to pay me or i might help a day when i feel for it and is bored.. but if they want help on the spot, then i take 50% under market pricing. Its still cheap for them and i get some extra for my time and energy.

In here i try to keep the 2:1 ratio of helping, so i help a bit more then i might ask.. that way no one can say i don't pitch in and dont deserve help. :cool:

I dont plan on going in to webdesign as you are, i just want to make my own site, as i will use the site to keep my other knowledge alive as hybrid cloud management, docker containers, and both having functions in the cloud and on my server here at home.. But i need a website to make all the other things happen :-)

i remember the 90's PC Magazines.. i have saved a lot of them in mint condition.. with floppy's and CD's :-)

Don't laugh... I still use a very old program called CoolPage for my local homepage. Still works on Win11. I've not found anything as easy to use. The html page it creates can be manipulated easily in a text editor too.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to lid hinges starting to break up this laptop has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

    I've now clean installed 25H2 and used Garlin's scripts to update Secure Boot to CA 2023 and revoke the PCA 2011 certificates. It's new role is to test secure boot issues.

    Info for 2021-2026:
    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

I never laugh at old programs.. i collect retro computers back to the 80's and software.. :-) (y)
I think a lot of old programs and operating systems is better then modern ones.. I still use win7 as main windows system for office work (offline usage) as win7 is just better then 10 or 11.. it just is. I will use server2022 as Desktop OS for online usage as win8.1 became EOL and no longer get security patches.. and i need a widows machine for online banking and other stuff..
But for web browsing/researching and email.. i use Linux as i can go in on shady sites and not worry about viruses and malware..
The right tool for the right job is always best. :-)

That is why you always should save some old retro computers at home.. then you always have 5.25" + 3.5" floppy and CD/DVD and even zip drive and stuff. :D :D

I have a couple USB-connecting 3.5" floppy drives, used have a couple Epson combo 3.5"/5.25" drives but haven't seen them lately. If I do find them in my shed I could put them in a WinXP computer that still works but would need to check if it has the socket on the motherboard. I have an old Toshiba Notebook/Laptop that is running MS-DOS 6 and Win3.1.

I have to many computers, so i dont remember them all.. i have it in a document.. and that document is..... somewhere. *LOL*
But it is safe to say i have one for each Intel generation. 8088, 8086, 286, 386 etc etc.. mixed laptops and desktops. I posted a picture of my 286 laptop on tenforums. :-)

I googled and no one had made an Xbox in to a router.. so i just had to do it, just because i can. :D

To that end I use Belarc Advisor to enumerate computers, both mine and those of my clients. I save the output as a Web page in a specific folder on a drive.

Not exactly solved.

The activation codes are legacy build specific. I couldn't activate my Photoshop from the CD install because the activation servers were shut.

Adobe provided us with a download that upon installation, bypassed the trial/activation splash screen and required the activation code at the beginning of the set-up process instead of at the end.

I'm sure that there were kabillions of people that piled in to get the CS2 software that Adobe put on for free and that's fine, but the activation codes on that page won't work with the original CD software that's found over on the Archive site.

When Adobe put the CS2 software up for download with the new activation codes, I downloaded only what I had purchased and activated it using the new code. I downloaded the page that the downloads were on and archived it just in case I lost the text file that I kept the codes on.

Here is the actual Adobe Photoshop CS2 download from that page:
