Looking for a simple image viewer - and it doesn't appear to be Photos...

goto Settings, the Thumbnail tab, and at the bottoms is the setting to change the color on the Folder Tree font or background.

It could be that I have Windows 11 in dark mode, but I don't see any pale text in FastStone. It's all very readable.

Ah, so it's not that Windows 11 is in dark mode. I found the color adjustments.

No, it was me... I only went through every panel of the settings 8 and 46 times and looked right at the thumbnail colors and NEVER looked below them at the clearly marked section with the colors for the folders.......

Thanks for the help. I'm gonna play with a couple of these, including XnView, but at least I've got Faststone working now.
