Solved "lost" USB drives

No USB drives are recognized suddenly all show errors. Nothing wrong with ports or controllers, everything else works in all ports. error in Device Manager and nothing in Dusk Management.
I can boot from drives set for Macriun Reflect and Hasleo as well as Live linux and PE. Everything works on Insider dev (dual boot) which is also 24H2. tried disabling them uninstalling and still error. Re-updated chipset drivers too. nothing I know of worked. Diskpart and few disk partition managers don't see them either. System checks come clean.
USB Device tree viewer sees it but with error.

msinfo32 - nothing, Device Manager (Mass storage) error.

What changes if any with a reboot into safe mode?

Go into the registry and look at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\USBSTOR
Is Start set to something other than 3, if so change it to 3 and reboot

Super thanx, it was set as 4, why I have no idea. Didn't plug in anything for couple of weeks so didn't have system backup that far back.
First I blamed SATA SSD to USB adapter but then dongles didn't work too.

4 is disabled, so your usb mass storage driver wasn't loading with Windows boot
