Not able to access USB drives via Windows 11

Someone mentioned on another site, this can happen when the USB drive tries to mount itself on an already mapped drive letter
I have also seen that suggestion.

These Registry locations need to be checked for multiple assignments to the same drive letter.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Network
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Map Network Drive MRU

Did the Registry thing, still no go. By the way, there aren't any mapped drives, just a stand alone PC.

Any other ideas?

Please advise.

Thank you
