But the term lifetime is disingenuous. Same with TomTom and Garmin. They offer "lifetime updates" but only for the lifetime of the device, not the owner.

How is that not a comparison, and the speed issue is not a fact unless you have tested it on lots of different pcs? You are just stating hearsay.
