All. keep in mind that backup file (.mrimg) will be only about 75% of all data that's being backed up, it doesn't back up empty space. Only raw data.

1. 75% of approx. 50 GB? and the approx. size of the backup?

2. What if I use option#2, and do not include partition #5?

3. Would it matter/ and why are my drives are encrypted/locked and why vs. @IanMosley , whose aren't encrypted?

1. Yes, 75% of all data you have in all chosen partitions.
2. Option #2 backs up only partitions used and made by Windows. As your partition #5 is empty or even if not empty it doesn't contain anything windows need for booting and running.

1. Yes, it's optional-
2. Don't know, don't use it.

maybe we could get Macrium to do a live feed like they did for Win10 forums several years ago

I dont believe you need to decrypt to make a backup, however if you have bitlocker on and turn it off it will of course take however long to decrypt
