I cannot see a tutorial how to do this - I am sure it will be simple - but please tell me.

If you’re referring to an elevated admin account (Built in Administrator) it’s not generally considered a great idea.

Thank you - I have got myself in a muddle using the same email address for more than one User account - I am still in a muddle partly caused by the photo ID being for the email account rather than the user account - it would help if I could easliy have different images (cannot think of the word used) for different user accounts on different Windows devices but I presume that is not possible - Meanwhie thank you again for a prompt answer.

Are you happy to delete the standard user account? Or is it needed. Is it linked to a microsoft account?

If you’re happy to remove it, rename the user account so you can identify it, then remove it

Ok - right now I am a bit preoccuppied and fed up with needing to spend time understanding how to use a PC after about 30 years .

Hey Andrew, it’s OK. Take your time, especially when reading the tutorials.

Take a break when you need to and go back to it when you are feeling better.

Reading what you have said, I believe for the moment the main issue you are facing is discriminating between the user accounts when logging in?
So perhaps just focus on renameing the non admin account for the time being?

Just make sure you’re renaming the right user account, for your peace of mind.
