I have no idea what the tech support agent did during a remote session last Friday, only that Task Manager is now totally different from what it used to be. The forum tutorial says to click on the hamburger button and turn navigation on/off, but that is not there. The only thing there is the same as in Settings, a choice of one part of the manager at a time. The screen shot shows this; what do I need to do to restore Task Manager?

Also, if the Task Manager "looks" totaly different than it was before, the tech likely updated you to 22H2, which has the new TM. You were probably used to seeing a TM that looked like Win 10.

This is all just like the Tut. Open and Close Navigation Bar in Task Manager in Windows 11 Tutorial

I was already on 22H2, and there was no Windows Update during the remote session. I take it that you are saying that TM is different in 22H2, which makes me wonder why I was not seeing that before the session, but if what I am now seeing is what I am supposed to see, so be it.

I'm on the same build, and as I said in another reply in this thread, there was no Windows update during the session, at least not that I was aware of. There was at least one restart, and I don't recollect anything during that showing an update. That I don't recollect it does not mean that it did not happen, but as I have been on 22H2 for some time, that the Task Manager suddenly changed is odd--unless, that is, that the TM change just took place, but I don't even recall any Windows update--oh, wait, I did do a Windows interim update late last week (the kind that you have to find in the Windows update process, not one that is otherwise installed,) and perhaps the TM changed then and I had not opened it since that interim update. That could be what explains what appeared to me to be a mystery.

I think the Update on 10/26 made some changes such as Tabbed windows in File Explorer, most likely other changes.
