Hi folks
Just wondering if the US version of this (it's a puck like tiny box that connects to an HDMI slot on a TV / monitor) gives all the Free US channels.

The UK box works fine in the US -- all the "internal" Free to air G B programs seem to work !! plus loads of other Free ones from TIVO etc. Mind you the initial setup I did wasn't as simple as the box implied - and it used a Belgian server for the setup - so I've no idea is a purely UK setup would have more restrictions.

However picture quality excellent - and plenty of Free to Air channels for those wanting "To cut lose from Cable etc subscriptions". You can also add TNT sports 1 - 3 if yoy are so minded for a small sub - the rest of HBO Max is a freebie.

Works really well with UHD too on a large computer monitor - nice to have this while waiting for some long running Windows tasks to finish !!!.

Any US users of this type of device and what sort of channels do you get (Free to Air ones).

Cost of box is around €65 or equiv (not inc VAT / other sales taxes). Size is around 3ins X 3 ins and quite thin so very easy to carry in pocket etc for use in hotels etc.

Cheers

Getting a freely box in UK is nigh on impossible I have been on waitlists, ordered on via Amazon etc, and mone delivered.

Amazon cancelled my order today as they allegedly could not guarantee delivery. However same device is being offered £30 dearer - obviously the cancelled basically scamming us into paying increased price.

What is worse the corrupt Labour Government is planning to get rid of free to air TV transmission (Freeview) in its entirety. This means TV will onoy be available via broadband.

This is disgraceful as most pensioners use freeview and people in carehomes etc will no longer get free TV (apart from TV licence of course).

Even radio will be majorly affected as people will only get a handful of FM radio stations.

Providing the major UK TV stations (BBC, ITV, C4, Five) over the air should be a mandatory government requirement.

Try Curry's or John Lewis -- not the "Usual suspects" for this type of stuff but they might just have a few - Curry's for instance have been pushing their stock price to investors so might have a bit of "New tech" to impress investors !!.

Note though I did see the end of FTA in the UK won't be until at least 2032 or later -- IMHO 5 or 6 years in technology is equivalent to a Geological era - the whole processes might be itotally different by then. BTW you will need a decent relible fast(ish) Internet connection for these to work decently -- but I'm very satisfied with the thing !!!!

Cheers
