I was planning to do a clean install on a machine, today (20 okt 2025) I download the mediacreation tool and made a new stick, after installing Windows 11 pro I discover that 24H2 was installed, is 25H2 offline ?

If your system is not W11 25-H2 approved you should download the ISO and use Rufus to bypass limitations, if your system is W11 25-H2 approved don't flag the box "use the recommended options for your PC".

Windows Media Creation Tool is a lagging behind, but i downloaded the 25H2 and used PowerIsO to make a bootable Win11 Pro.
Use Rufus or PowerISO to write in on a USB.

I can't see how you got 24H2 then using MCT because MCT is now 25H2, 24H2 would have to be downloaded from UUDUMP

24H2 and 25H2 share a common set of system files. The dormant 25H2 features are already in the latest 24H2 build. They are enabled by installing a small Enablement Package that turns on the dormant features. Windows Update will offer the feature update to supported devices. You can also manually download and install the Enablement Package from Post #1 here:

Right-click on the Media Creation Tool that you used to make the USB. Select 'Properties'. On the 'Details' tab what Product version does it say?

If it says 10.0.26100.1 then it is the previous version of the MCT and yes, that will make 24H2. The current version is 10.0.26100.6584 and will make 25H2.

What version of Windows is on the PC you used to make the USB? There is a known issue with the 26100.6584 MCT. It will not run in Windows 10.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven below to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro.

    My SYSTEM FOUR is a 2-in-1 convertible Lenovo Yoga 11e 20DA, Celeron N2930, 8GB RAM, 256GB ssd. Unsupported device: currently running Win10 Pro, plus Win11 Pro RTM and Insider Dev, Beta, and RP 24H2 as native boot vhdx.

It was a microsoft server problem yesterday, this morning I made a new stick with the media creation tool and I have 25H2 now on the stick
