MediaMonkey skin app error

I posted at the Media Monkey forum but so far no replies so I thought I'd post here since I know there are some Media Monkey users here. I recently re-installed MediaMonkey 5 (latest download) and later tried downloading and installing the Dr. Sol skin. The interface became unusable unfortunately as shown below where the text is only static and not clickable.




After trying Restart in Safe Mode it would have the Menus but also both horizontal and vertical scrolling bars which still made the interface unusable as it would not let me select anything that would have allowed me to go in and for example select another skin. I had to delete the persistent.json file in AppData to get the interface back to working order. I then tried it on a second system with the same result. One system has an Asus/AMD RX480, the other an Asus/AMD RX560 both with up to date drivers. Anyone know what might be happening here, or perhaps it is a bug in the skin code?

When downloading skins for any application, you need to make sure they are intended for the version of the application you are using. If they do not list that information, then look for the date the skin was published. If it's too old, then it probably is not compatible.

Judging by the error message, that skin is not compatible with the current version of Media Monkey you are using or it may have been damaged during download.

I always check versions for skins and compatibility but in the skin author's own thread concerning revisions it appeared the skin is compatible with 5.0, albeit I believe I found it is not with the very latest. I don't mind the default so it will suffice.

Cliff, I had earlier tried the other skins in MM but didn't like them very well. I tried today your ROG skin and like it; unlike some folks I don't mind the colors of the Material Design skin, but the red and black in your ROG skin is a great color scheme.
