Memory integrity / Core Isolation not available in a VM ????

Hi folks
This might only be on W11 VM's running on Linux (KVM/QEMU) where there's plenty of memory integrity and core isolation handled by the Linux HOST Hypervisor.

Even if enabled it's still off after VM reboot !! - but I'm happy with the HOST functionality for system integrity.




Just a query though if running a W11 VM on a Windows Host does this problem appear on the VM if the VM is running on HYPER-V, VMWare workstation/player or Oracle's VBOX.

It's the same on Oracle VirtualBox with Windows 11 VMs; and you have to choose the "Dismiss" option to silence the security warnings. Core Isolation also has to be turned off on some Host hardware setups if there is too great an impact on VM performance. Microsoft's own advice is that its Virtualisation-Based Secuity (VBS) features are incompatible with third-party virtualisation products that rely on direct access to the hardware acceleration features provided by VT-x/AMD-V and need to be disabled to run such software.
