Unusual Website Popups Without Interaction

I have already created a post for chrome itself on the google support forums, however, if they cannot give appropriate advice due to being an app, I wanted to ask Microsoft themselves, and now, I also come to this forum (I just copied and pasted my microsoft entry). Odd new tabs are being created on Google Chrome, even when the app is closed (well, in "sleep" mode). These are of course the standard scam-like and untrustworthy "antivirus" and "dangerous malware" tabs, however they have all come from a completely different web addresses, (or at least are named so). My question would be if there is any strategy that is deeper than the malware scans I have already done, like going into the files, or capturing event data and times so that I can track down the source of these sudden popups. Note, I have already done a large swath of the basic strategies to try and fix this, to no avail, this includes the various different Microsoft security scans as well as trying to make heads or tails of files themselves. Effectively, if there is any information or anything y'all could do to assist in crushing this menace, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, the most recent website header was "defendervault.shop" (with a whole bunch of other additional info behind it, but I kept that out to not accidentally dox myself). There was also not any specific download that I can think of that was clearly risky, however, maybe my judgement is flawed. Once again, any help that could be provided would be spectacular.

Strange. Yes. Did you check with a good antivirus application your PC for trojans, malware or viruses? It seems like there is something inside your memory that maybe can cause this strange behaviour of your browser. Alternative you can also install Brave next to Chrome and check it's behaviour. If it doesn't? Try to remove Chrome completely from your system including leftovers and install Chrome again. If the behaviour also disappears then you can de-install Brave. It is possible that Chrome has been infected.... (a hard thing to do because it checks itself on a regular basis) The only other source is that your system has been infected.
