I've looked at the MS 2FA setup docs and the ones I found all required using a MS account for your login and using only the MS authenticator.
I currently use the Google authenticator cell phone app for several sites I go to. Where can I get this "easy" setup information? I would like to use it for my own system and for a charity for which I do the IT work.

It should be under Security>Advanced security options on your Microsoft account, open your Google Authenticator app click the add account, turn on 2FA under your Microsoft account & it should show you a Q code or other code to add your account to the app.
I use the MS Authenticator app.
Ensure the app is set to automatic backup.

@DocDJ Just an FYI... when a site claims "Only the Microsoft Authenticator" or "Only the Google Authenticator" etc. that doesn't mean crap in 99% of situations and you can use whatever you already have and feel comfortable with. The exceptions are some sites that use Authy can not use other ones and a few other outliers.

If I'm reading it correctly, about your own system and the charity, are you talking about setting up private 2FA for those systems or using existing accounts with 2FA? There's a big difference.
