I don't really see this thread as being solvable. It's just opinions and others may want to give different opinions. My opinion about Windows Defender is that it's ok and just ok. It's not the best and it's not the worst. When it comes to software testing and/or surveys, I always take them with a grain of salt. My first thoughts are who took the test/survey, why and what do they have to gain from it.
Well I had 3 months left on my Norton Anti Virus Plus and Lifelock so I went ahead and installed it.
I use Eset Internet Security on three of my computers. The rest of my computers only get used once in awhile so I use Windows Defender on them. I had to temporarily remove Eset from my main desktop until I find what setting I need to change to gain access to my security cameras. The desktop is running the Insider Canary builds and by using WSA I installed the Amazon Blink Camera app and the firewall in Eset is blocking access.
