Microsoft Edge and mklink "User Data"

Hi all,

I keep a lot of my data on a D drive such as Documents, Desktop, Music, Pictures etc.
I also mklink my Edge User Data folder to the D drive See below.

mklink /J "C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data" "D:\My Files\Edge\User Data"

This has worked for years now and also works for Chrome and other browsers.

So this week Edge now only opens and closes no error message or anything, If I delete the link and put the User Data Folder back in its rightful place all works fine again.
Chrome still works fine with the mklink.

Any ideas ?

Ok After some digging I Found a solution.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge]
"UserDataDir"="D:\\My Files\\Edge\\User Data"

All working correctly again.
