Win 11 Pro - 22H2 (Build 22621.900) - RP Insider
Edge Version 108.0.1462.46 (Official build) (64-bit)

Just today I noticed that after a restart, there was a shortcut for Edge on the desktop, the same Edge (chromium) I've been using for every.
Deleted it, cleared the recycle bin and restarted PC - shortcut is back after every restart and I cannot find any way to stop this happening?

Anyone able to help? Appreciated.
Thanks!

Maybe try one of these:
1. Task manager > Startup apps > switch Microsoft Edge off
2. Download "Autoruns", run it as administrator, uncheck all Microsoft Edge entries.

Hello Globespy, :alien:

If this isn't already solved for you by now, you can see if disabling this below may stop the Edge desktop shortcut from being created.

Really? That was old news 4 months ago.
Anyway, Brink posted something from January that should kill the issue for good.

I follow some forums from my part of the globe (i.e. from Poland and Russia) and that's where I found complaints on reappearing MS Edge icons after restart.
