When trying to install the Sunset version of Microsoft Money it fails with the message Autorun.inf missing or corrupt.
I've tried it on two different laptops and the result is the same, (I've previously installed it many times without any issues) has anybody had or seen this and more importantly is their a fix or workaround to the problem.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit if your anti-malware is doing something to autorun.inf... deleting it, messing with it, making it feel bad about itself.

I've checked the autorun.inf file and it looks OK as far as I can tell.

Are you right clicking on the install file and running it as admin? If not, try that.

Mr Seymour could be right about your antivirus, does the Av have logs?

I have right clicked the install file and it also fails.
I'm using Bitdefender Free Antivirus, I'll give it a dose of looking at.

The file I was able to download is named:
USMoneyDlxSunset.exe

If you have 7-zip or WinRAR, right click on that file and extract it to a folder.
Inside the extracted folder is a setup.exe file
Right click on setup.exe and Run as Admin

If you have 7-zip or WinRAR, right click on that file and extract it to a folder.
Inside the extracted folder is a setup.exe file
Right click on setup.exe and Run as Admin

Those were the files I downloaded and they both failed to install at the autorun.inf missing or corrupt warning, I also disabled Bitdefender Antivirus during the install attempts but that did not make any difference.
I also read that their was a registry hack which I also did but result was the same, scratching my head now lol

I use the UK version of Money with no problems. I always install it in admin mode with compatibility set to Widows XP. Post to this Google Money Group if you still have problems Microsoft Money - Google Groups

Wrong - Microsoft Money is very versatile personal money management software, MSN Money is not. MSN Money is OK for listing fund / stock prices but even then it does not list some funds.

You have limited choices. Quicken Deluxe 2013 and the open source My Budget. Both free.

Of course. But MS Money doesn't run on Mac and Linux while My Budget is cross platform.
