Apparently latest version of Microsoft Photos has this annoying glitch which doesn't remember window position. If I make my window maximzed and then close the Photos and later if I decided to open photos again, window again is non maxed and I have to click to mazimize again. It's a very annoying glitch. Does anyone knows how to fix this bug?

If you are referring to the window size, If you drag the edges of the window to desired size, when you close and reopen that application window again, the window should be the same size. It is for me.

The Windows operating system does not automatically handle saving and restoring window coordinates for applications.

It's up to the programmer to capture the window's position and size before it closes and then restore those settings when the window is reopened. Typically, this is done by saving the window's coordinates to a configuration file, registry, or database, and then reading those values when the application starts.

If an application fails to do that, it's the fault of the programmer.

you could try.
create a short cut to the desktop of photo app from the start menu.
right click the desktop short cut and click properties.

in that window about half way down is RUN:
click the drop down menu and set it to maximised.
then click apply then OK.

double click the short cut to open the program
maximise if necessary

then on the task bar pin the icon for this program
hold/press the shift key and click the close button

now re-open the program from the task bar icon and see if the maximised window settings hold.
its worth a try, best of luck, Steve ..

Yes, super annoying, have to maximize constantly. I maximize the window, it sticks for a short while but then just forgets it and images are again opened non-maximized. It happens on 10 too.

I have the opposite problem with the Settings app. I don't want this app to be maximized but every now and then, it will open maximized. I resize it the way I want and sometime afterwards, it will open maximized again.
