Check if you're up to date with .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 in windows update. Last one shows updated on 10 Nov. That's all I can think of.

The latest .NET Framework I have is KB5007292. I'll try reinstalling PowerToys and see if it still prompts to install .NET Core.

Okay, I unstalled it, installed it via the Store. So far so good. When I go back to the Store, it still says Install, instead of Installed. :unsure:

Same exact thing is now happening to me. I did exactly as you and un-installed the Non-Store version, then installed the one from the store. The program is there and functional, but the store still thinks I need to install it..... So I guess it will not be auto-updated. :(

I wonder what the point is to install it via the Store and then not have it auto-update via the Store. I think for small apps, especially the MS apps, the Store is great option for the auto updates. Off to send some feedback. ;)
