Microsoft Teams doesn't auto start

It is listed in the Apps > Startup in PC settings and also in the Teams settings it's also enabled but it never autoruns when I turn on my laptop.

Any ideas?

Also check Task manager Start up apps. So many places to check for startup permission is ludicrous.

MS Teams > Settings > System > tick Auto-start Teams, Untick Open app in background.

Task Manager > Startup apps > Microsoft Teams (msteams_autostarter.exe)
Right click > Enable.

Restart Windows (26100.4061).

This is what solved it. had untick the "Open app in background". Seems like that function is broken because it should still run automatically on startup just not pop in your face with that option checked but it seems too not allow Teams to run at all automatically at startup.

Yes this worked for my client using Windows 11 too. I was getting so frustrated because in registry, task manager and teams app all was on like auto start settings etc. So strange that a setting that is set per default was the problem... Why has not microsoft fixed this? :rolleyes:
