My microsoft word bullet points not working correctly. It took quite a bit of digging to figure this out. Sharing so hopefully it helps other people.

- Go to File > Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options.
- Click the AutoFormat As You Type tab.
- Make sure "Automatic bulleted lists" is checked.
- If it’s already checked, try unchecking it, clicking OK, then going back and rechecking it.
2. Clear Formatting
- Select the affected text.
- Press Ctrl + Spacebar or click Clear All Formatting in the Home tab.
- Then try applying bullets again manually or by typing * followed by a space.
3. Paste Special
- Instead of a regular paste, try:
- Home > Paste > Paste Special > Unformatted Text
- This removes hidden formatting that might be interfering.
4. Check for Updates
- Go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
- A recent update might have caused a glitch, and Microsoft may have already patched it.
5. Try in Safe Mode
